Matt has a trick HD camera. Best if you pause the playing and let the download get ahead a bit.

Thursday Night MTB Ride
You would think that given a floodlight and a spotlight that a movie camera could sort out some night pictures.
Well. I chose to lend the flood to a mate whose main (and only) light had developed a habit of cutting out at random points.
So - no v good pictures as it turns out.
Just listen to the relaxing music.

12:12 Torq in your Sleep
An unscheduled dismount quite early in an endurance race.
Note the audience of small boys, they were highly amused.
Yes, yes ... ha bloody ha.

Overexposed.
You may know that a USE Exposure cycle light is one of those insane luxuries that a keen cyclist might treat themselves to. They cost more than a cheap bike. This person has 4! On top of that there are 2 helmet mounted USE Joysticks. Current retail total a smidge over £1400 on lights. It would be pretty well night into day. Remarkable.

TwentyFour12 - looking back
Loads of fun. Except for putting back on a cycle jersey soaked with gone-cold sweat, in the middle of the night; that was not fun. Oh - and falling off. Twice.
Here's a handlebars-level view of bits of my first lap.
There's some inadvertent footage of a racer in a bit of bother - I left it in by way of reportage.

TwentyFour12 - looking forward
Off in a team of four mates to take part in a wee bike race this weekend:

Link to pics from last year. Don't look for me, I wasn't there: 2008 Gallery
I'm imagining the same - except frequently tipping down with rain. The aim is to finish, that's a start I suppose.

Cycling Routes
Used many times in this blog already:

www.bikely.com
Routes can be downloaded to your own GPS - they come as .gpx files, you might need to translate them, perhaps using:

Local Bluebell Wood
Bluebells only just starting - but new bike tyres needed shaking up.

New Bike
I'm assured that it *is* possible to have too many titanium bicycles. I stuggle to accept this.

Wheels
I found a way of getting a slightly higher quality video - watch someone else's.
You can also get a slightly better version of mine by starting the video - then clicking on the moving picture - this will take you to the Youtube page proper - where you can click on the "Watch in high quality" link under the pic.

Gustard Wood
Another one ...
A bit pixelated - if you can convince YouTube to allow you to copy the original file it's a bit better. KeepVid.com will steal a better quality MP4 format file from YouTube for you.

My Christmas present.

A wee video camera - not the world's greatest resolution, but rugged enough for mountain bike handlebars. Or helmet if you can bear the ridicule.
I took it on a very cold Saturday morning ride. Drinking water froze quite quickly, camera batteries froze too after the first hour.
Here's a ham-fisted bit of Windows MovieMaker-ism.
